The Sand to Salt How to Master Man Overboard Drill - Activity.

One of the most important manoeuvres to master is is Man Overboard Drill - Not just in case your crew falls overboard, but also because it really tests your ability to safely control a boat. The drill tests your ability to determine wind direction, points of sail and speed control. This is why we use it from RYA Level 2 right up to Instructor Pre-Entry, to assess sailing ability - not because crew keep falling out! (Although that is obviously important!)

This activity is a great way to test knowledge in a fun and informal manner.

About the Activity:

• There are two activity sheets to choose from depending on the student's level:
• Sheet 1 asks students to annotate the MOB diagram with the correct points
• Sheet 2 asks students to also draw the MOB diagram.
• Answer page included that applies to both sheets.
