The 5 Essentials are the ingredients you need to improve your sailing: Sail setting, Centreboard, Balance, Trim and Course / Steering. This presentation takes sailors at beginner level and introduces each of the five elements that affect boat speed.

The presentation covers settings for beginners just starting to think about which bit should do what, through to improver standard, where you are conscious of sailing the boat efficiently.
